UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS

We keep hearing from those who wish to justify that man’s terrorizing of undocumented workers that “my people came here legally, the right way.”

Perhaps we could just remind those who peddle in such false and short-sighted revisionist history that this land we call America wasn’t exactly empty when “our people” arrived, but that it was populated by tens of millions of native peoples, from whom “our people” stole this land while murdering millions of them. “Our people” didn’t exactly ask their permission to come here, or do things “the right way.”

Justify that man’s mean-spiritedness if you must, but please don’t make appeal to a past’s fantastical purity of motivation and purpose that rarely, if ever existed.

In addition, could we please hear just one cross word about the business profiteers who often encourage undocumented workers to come, and employ them at rock bottom wages. The undocumented worker is not “breaking our law,” since they are not citizens subject to our laws. The only criminal is the profiteer who employs them. How about we go after them, round them up?
